Ana Rusness-Petersen

Ana N. Rusness-Petersen, founder and owner of Ana Noelle Creative Productions (ananoelleproductions.com), has worked as an arts leader, theatrical producer, and creative placemaker for two decades. Ana serves as the Block 9 Broadway Square Plaza Manager (Fargo). She is currently working on publishing an article on the emerging concept of "Internal Creative Placemaking" and a case study on the historic Neptune Theatre she wrote is being published as part of the Arts Ecosystem Research Project.

Brandi Malarkey

Brandi Malarkey believes that we are surrounded by tiny miracles, and likes to focus on those in her work. Currently a self-employed artist focusing on nature, she works in a variety of mediums depending on her goals. When pressed she describes herself as a professional dabbler, semi-compulsive organizer, and occasional hot mess.

Chanda Kraft

Chanda Kraft is a visual artist living in Alexandria, MN with her husband and two kids. She works en plein air and in studio creating landscapes, wildlife, botanical and still life art in oils, watercolor or drawing mediums. Chanda is interested in bringing new art classes and visual art awareness to her community through collaboration with local businesses and organizations.

Chelsea Steffes

Chelsea Steffes is a young professional passionate about the incorporation of the arts into everyday life. Inspired by the multitudes of art forms that exist across the globe, she has a particular interest in the role culture and identity plays in art. She hopes to create environments where all culture, identity, and art forms can be incorporated and respected.

 

Dr. Denise Lajimodiere

Dr. Denise Lajimodiere is a retired Educational Leadership Associate Professor, NDSU. She is an enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Ojibwe, Belcourt, ND. Denise is a writer, poet, scholar and traditional Jingle dress dancer living in a cozy cottage by Fish Lake on the Turtle Mountain reservation, ND.

Jada Bell

As an accomplished and forward-thinking student, Jada is a voracious reader and has a deep passion for animals and agriculture as well as Spanish and screenwriting. Known for being the oldest of ten children, she's a born leader and paves the path for her siblings to follow. Her passion has always been writing and creating stories to make an impact on the world, changing people's hearts and lives through the power of storytelling.

James Bergman

James Bergman is local artist based in Fargo-Moorhead and specializing in collaborative custom songwriting. While many of his songs are based on his life, he also receives inspiration from the stories of people and organizations making a difference in the community.

Micah Cherina

Micah Cherina is a native of North Minneapolis who is currently a college student, attending St. Cloud State University. Micah is working on her academic behavior specialist licensure in special education. As an educator at Intermediate School District 287, where she works, Micah teaches social justice topics in her classroom and serves on the Racial Equity Leadership Board. At her home church, Micah also serves as a teacher and choreographer to the liturgical dance team and is one of the anchor members of the praise and worship team. Micah is a single mother of five children who are also blessed with many of the same gifts.

 

Rachel Prazak

Rachel is the Community Relations Coordinator at the Downtown Community Partnership. Equipped with a Hospitality & Tourism Management degree and past tourism experience, Rachel is excited to be apart of the placemaking process in Downtown Fargo. When she’s not trying to complete her mission to visit every National Park, you can find her kayaking or browsing the stacks at a local bookstore.

Nicole Gagner

Nicole Gagner is a teaching artist living and working in Bismarck, North Dakota. She splits her time between painting colorful, brushy work in her studio or from nature and teaching art in the community to students of all ages and abilities across North Dakota. Nicole believes strongly that art is for everyone and is passionate about making engaging art experiences available for all.

Rebecca Dallinger

Rebecca’s community organizing has focused on rural arts development in Northern Minnesota where she creates experiential environments that inspire the interconnectedness of culture, art and natural wellness. While at the White Earth Tribal and Community College Extension Service in Mahnomen, MN, she grew collaborative community circles based on relationship and shared teaching. She is currently Curator-in-Residence for The Big River Continuum at the Itasca Biological Station and the Target Studio for Creative Collaboration at the Weisman Art Museum.

Rachel Asleson

Rachel, co-owner of Reach Partners, is a resourceful addition to any project as a project manager, meeting and event designer and facilitator. She brings her own curiosity, process and communication skills to the table. She continues to be influenced by those who are willing to see, uplift, and nurture the humanity in others.

Renee Newton

Renee Newton, Assistant Director and Circulation Services Librarian at the Dickinson Area Public Library, Dickinson ND. Learning about people is something I enjoy. All of us have stories that can inform and inspire, we just need to identify the vehicle that will best deliver our message.

Dr. Ruth Hall

Dr. Ruth Hall is the Director of Native American Studies at her home tribal college, Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College. She is an enrolled citizen of the Three Affiliated Tribes in New Town, ND and a member of the Maxoxadi (Alkali Lodge) Clan. Ruth is passionate about learning traditional arts and practices that tie her to the land and culture of her people, as well as sharing that set of knowledge and skills within her community to help build and strengthen relationships.

 

Sabrina Hornung

Sabrina Hornung was born in Jamestown North Dakota and attended MSUM in Moorhead with an eye on the arts. She is a multidisciplinary artist, arts advocate, and editor for the High Plains Reader an arts-focused alternative weekly paper based out of Fargo North Dakota. Currently, she and a small group of folks are trying to start up an art center in rural North Dakota and raise funds to renovate a WPA era stone building to house it.

Sara Lum

Sara is a licensed architect, planner, and community builder in Sioux Falls, SD with experience in non-profit, public, and private sectors. As a planner at one of South Dakota's planning districts, she works with over 20 communities on economic and community development projects and also assists with affordable housing initiatives. She earned a BS in Design (University of Nebraska), a Master of Architecture (Rice University), and is currently pursuing an MBA at University of South Dakota.

Scott Ecker

Scott Ecker has been a part of numerous theatre and comedy performances in Fargo-Moorhead. Recently he directed The Last Schwartz at Theatre B, where he is also a board member. During quarantine he has continued to stay active as an artist through writing new scripts.

Shawna Marion

Shawna Marion has nearly 25 years of experience in education, coupled by 20+ years serving on community boards and bringing art opportunities to enrich the DNA in rural southcentral ND. She co-founded and launched i2i (Imagination to Innovation) Institute, which uses the arts to solve challenges in communities and organizations through partnerships. Shawna holds a BS in Elementary Education with a concentration in art, and earned her Arts Integration Specialist credential in 2018.

 

Sue Skalicky

Sue Skalicky is a writer, speaker, and pursuer of abundant life. Over the past 30 years, she has worked as a medical photographer, photojournalist, leadership trainer, writer, and teacher. Currently, she is the program coordinator for Humanities North Dakota.

Vynetta A. Morrow

Vynetta A. Morrow is an educator, poet, storyteller, and social justice strategist who spends time reading, writing, and imagining a liberated world. Vynetta holds spaces to Shift the Center of the Narrative and find what fortifies the roots of the Tree of Social Injustice. Vynetta completed the Urban Bush Women Summer Leadership Institute in 2014 and the Intercultural Leadership Institute in 2019. Vynetta is currently shopping a memoir in essay and verse, Vy's Legacy.

Yvette Reyes

I am Yvette Reyes, owner of FM Aerial & Movement Arts of downtown Fargo. I am a budding aerialist, hedgehog lover, and asthmatic welder. I look forward to being a part of a like-minded group of socially driven people, to share experiences and ideas to strengthen our communities.
